What to do in Santa Monica/Venice?

So I'll be at Santa Monica and Venice this weekend just for a day, and I was just wondering what some things that I have to do/see while I'm there? I probably won't be back there for a while, so I want to make sure I make my time worthwhile. Also, what are some good places to eat and shop at? Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Check out the Nike Store at the Santa Monica Place

Rent a bike and ride at Santa Monica State Beach and around Santa Monica since they have dedicated bike lanes

Visit the Pier, of course.
