I love Garfield as Spidey even tho Raimi SM > Webb SM. Still tho isnt he supposed to be an awkward nerd and not a well dressed silver tongued devil?

Garfield is the modern day nerd in webb's film. He doesn't need suspenders and bifocals. He actually shows his genius intellect and him building web shooters, something that Raimi chose to omit

And Peter is the ladies man now and forever. Raimi's inspiration came from the 90's fox cartoon. (Mary Jane being his only love interest, the symbiote taking over his body while he slept and waking up upside down staring at a glass building seeing the symbiote on him) Webb' gives you the real story of Peter Parker and how he's failed so many times which made him the best marvel superhero ever. Like how do you even properly tell Spider-mans journey without Gwen Stacy's death? That molded him more then Uncle ben's death.

I have high expectations for this movie seeing as how it's closing Phase II. Is it confirmed that this is loosely adapting To Steal An Ant-Man or no?

Intelligent and nerdy are two different things otherwise that would be like saying Tony Stark is a nerd.

Tho the stigma behind being a nerd is gone. People call themselves nerds when they aint even one.

Modern day nerds still have nerd qualities though. They're different from the stereotypical that wears glasses and suspenders but they're still known as nerds in school.

Garfield was more of a nobody from every cliche coming of age teenage movie that gets lucky and gets a shot with the hot girl. To me he's always leaned heavily on the loner steez than nerd. Son got hypebeast hipster elements with his skateboard not nerd's.

I had no preference until I saw the synopsis. Now that i know it is a heist movie, I am glad it is Lang for sure.

Webb's Peter Parker was in oscorp impressing Dr. Connors with bio-genetics know how and figuring out problems that Connors himself couldn't find the answer to...

Raimi's Parker stops being spiderman so he can answer physics questions correctly in Dr. Connors class. With BJ Thomas playing in the background

I see actresses in tv interviews saying they're nerds. They need to sthu. We all know they're lying. Also see girls putting nerd in their ig and twitter bios. Playing video games in panties and showing cleavage doesn't make them nerds.

EDIT: Not saying there is no such thing as female nerds. My sister plays Zelda and JRPGs constantly. But she has never felt the need to call herself a nerd or girl gamer or anything along those lines.

i think they have the english dub out now. i watched the *** version with subs. i recommend it. its a really good anime.

But is it the same as the Japanese version?

So for when Marvel gets my favorite hero back, how do you think they'll include him? I believe they'll go the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon route and have him recruited by Coulson.

Except Sony owns the rights forever now. They don't even need to make movies to keep the rights.
