I was just wondering, what are the chances that colors we have never seen before, exist somewhere out there in this vast universe? I know that all shades ofexisting colors can be easily generated by computers, therefore we have documented all the KNOWN colors. But do you think there are a whole set of foreigncolors on some distant planet or something?

Yellow, red, and blue are the primary colors. All colors can be mixed to create the other colors of the rainbow. And when you combine all the ROYGBIV pigments, you get white.

But what if there were a whole different set of primary colors. What are the chances of that happening? How would those colors look like?

UPDATE: For anyone still interested in this topic, please see my recent post on the last page. Just another thought I had. If not, the discussion will concludeshortly

EDIT: Think--colorblind

Light might not move at the same pace in all parts of the universe, so it might be possible.

I highly doubt it, though.

Yes I understand that all the colors create the spectrum of light, but do you think in some alternate world, like a bizarro planet that the spectrum of lightdoes not consist of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet? Such that the spectrum of light that exists in that place is not a white light, butsomething that is unimaginable because we have never seen it before?

ifg your really his fan you know what thats about

Sorry, I can't lie, I'm not really a big MMA fan. My boy is actually the Arlovski fan and put me up on it, and suggested this for my name. But he didtell me about "How taste my..."

Anyway, it's so unfathomable to me. I try to picture a new color, but I can't because my knowledge is hindered to what I already know of colors. Ifthere was some way to discover a new color on a different planet and somehow implement it to our Earth, just try to think about that new color, or shades ofthat color all over the place like on clothes, cars, any items you can think of. Creating an even more infinite combination of colors for anything you desire..

EDIT: Yeh, it's highly unlikely, probably impossible. But IF it were possible, just imagine. My train of thought is dying now

I remember hearing about some sea creature that had eyes that were like 4x as sensitive as the human eye.

It was able to see colors that we aren't able to see.
