Understanding computers = an aid to understanding our minds...?

Obviously the CPU was created by a brain, thus spawning all the similarities...but understanding yourself is often a mirage.
Sometimes when I think about it, and what is needed to run a operating system smoothly, it all makes sense and my problems subside.

Let's think about it.

First off, there is a power source (life).

It is an operating system with hardware that has a designed task. (entire brain).

Processor (again, the brain).

Motherboard which shows the division of components (brain segments).

You can run various programs and applications (mind states, thoughts).

There is data stored in memory, which you can store, categorize, delete, etc.

You have sound cards, graphic cards, monitors, audio, keyboard, etc (senses).

You can even say the fan acts as your attitude, keeping you cool, and if it decides to work incorrectly, can potentially cause the unit to overheat and destroy itself.

Now, you can store and store data which will compile and take up space. The space is pre-determined and is dependent on unit you are using.

Our advantage is, our space is infinite. But we do not always act accordingly.

Upon birth, or the initial use of the machine, typically speaking, everything should run smoothly...unless it was born with a defect.

When data is stored and the limit is near, the systems will work less efficiently, and in turn slow down. Which is sort of like stress.

When you have too much on your plate, you tend to become stressed and it shows in your ability to function and process information.

There are also corrupt files (a memory you can not seem to get passed, a thought process limiting you, a bad seed) that can cause the unit to destroy itself, from the inside - out.

In order to ensure smooth operations we run software (practices, beliefs, mind states) like an anti-virus, defrag, system scan, malware, whatever, to rid our systems of bad files and to clean up our system and processes (maintenance of the mind, introspection).

Just some stoned thoughts from your neighbor.

A lucid comparison.
I'd say that understanding how to manipulate the electromagnetic spectrum was a better way of "understanding" how our minds work however, if we're going for depth.

It also makes you think if we've limited the abilities of computers because of how much we only understand about ourselves.

i'm talkin practical steez. Of course anything dealing with waves and frequencies will draw deeper similarities.

And of course, will A.I. ever surpass our brain power?

i think its because the goal behind computers were too replicate human activity

for example robots in factories

you can shop online.

you can talk to computers

and so forth..

its really interesting but one thing the computer will never have is logic and reason and a personality which is what seperates us from machines.

and nothing will ever pass our brain power because our power is limitless.... like blanca on sega genesis.

at the end of the day we created computers so we will have the upper hand. it kinda reminds me of irobot when they lost control of the robots, but i doubt that will ever actually happen

First of all my computer crashes WAY more than my mind does.

And my mind can handle porn better than my computer can
