[| -- UGK "Da Game Been Good To Me" (Official VIDEO) -- |]

Don't really like the video, but it's definitely a great album. (Minus the Akon joint)

"She Luv It" & "Swishas & Erb" have been on repeat.

someone needs to put me on UGK, i always liked bun b's voice and flow.

Just got this tonight. Only listened to the first 2 tracks. Second song was real good. Pry the first rap cd I've bought since umm.......Kanye'sgraduation.(kinda disappointed from that purchase) I'm sure this will more than make up for it.

Pardon my grave digging, but I didn't want to start a new thread about this song:

I know Pimp C says that this isn't a diss to anybody in particular, but his first verse sounds like a straight diss to Slim Thug. Slim Thug said he soldhis Phantom, but it really got repo'd - he arguably "went pop" signing with Pharrel. Coincidence? Because Pimp also said Slim's the onlyHouston rapper he respected, but then he puts this out (he flip-flopped on the ATL/South issue, too so I figure he could have changed his mind). At the sametime Slim's car got repo'd, Mike Jones lost some cars, too, but he didn't have a Rolls-Royce. Slim's album didn't go platinum (first linein verse), though - perhaps dissing Jones and Slim... I don't know - just figured I'd ask and see if anybody else caught this or if I'm reaching.

This is what I heard from an old client/friend of mine who happened to be driving blue Phantom one day - not my first hand account from looking at therappers' paper work, though...
Mike Jones had financed a bunch of cars banking on the hopes that Club Ice Age would make more money, but it didn't. My client is a pretty wealthy guy anddeals with high end luxury cars, rentals, transportation, etc. and said he had a friend who had to either order the repo or do the repo (can't remember, this was nearly two years ago now). Said that Slim was with the same lender or something rather - either way, somehow he ended up driving that Rolls Royce forthe night and said it was Slim's. I had thought he was full of it until I saw that Slim didn't have it anymore (read in a magazine that he 'got ridof it'), and then I heard Pimp C's line and was like

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they both have plenty of money, but something may have went awry. Could be something like the story of Fab getting all ofhis CC's declined - poor accountant or whatever. If nothing else, it's an interesting series of coincidences.
