Yall trippin... "Jay and Stiletto" partys have been happening for a long time now in the south and midwest and Ive never heard of anyone getting robbed for their shoes at one. Since almost everyone in the hood already has a pair of jays of some kind(teams,hybrids,fakes{lots of fakes },etc) its a just a pretty common way of getting more people to come to your party by making them feel like they're getting a better deal for their money with something they already have.

only NT tho... its really all about the social function, wimminz and liquor. 99% of people are going for the party, not to showcase their heat... Nobody wants your beer-floored, sticky soled Concords that the chic you've been spittin at all night just spilled her strawberry daiquiri on
