the thread about nothing...

UPS may possibly be the worst shipping service in existence. Never understood how I could have something shipped from LA and have it sent to Canada before arriving in MD

im a seasonal helper delivering packages, just doing it to make some extra money till i get my full time job back at amazon.

idk much about what type of logistics they use but common sense says someone made a mistake when it was getting scanned in CA and someone fixed it canada.

from a customer perspective they can be bad when they mess up your order.

That **** is way too common as well, even outside of the "busy" (holiday) season this kind of **** happens. I remember I got a book from Barnes & Nobles and the **** arrived in Baltimore (where I'm at) then it went to PA, a day later it got to Sparks MD before finally arriving at my house almost at 9:00 p.m. Not even the craziest part, the truck legit dropped something off for my neighbors then went right past my house without dropping off my package. I called customer service and they said it was due to a backlog of packages. I told her the dude legit dropped something off to a neighbor and rode right past my crib. How dumb does that **** sound. I was mad as hell when he finally arrived, "Theirs a certain order we have to follow on our route" I'm like dude you rode straight past my house

i understand your frustration but their are starving kids in america and africa who need food delivered in remote locations. be easy on the driver he just might had just had a huge parcel or medication in his truck that was high priority that he needed to deliverd first before getting to you last.

UPS accountants messed up my pay check missing $200 from my pay. i not mad but im not surprised cause i had a feeling this crap will happen to me.

If he had a huge priority package why would he even come to my neighborhood at all until that was taken care of? Mistakes happen and I understand that, it just was inefficient to drop something off to a neighbor like 2 doors down then leave the entire neighborhood only to come back almost 3 hours later. UPS is the only service where this **** seems to happen almost consistently though. Its more of an criticism on their structure as a company than the individual carriers themselves

im not sure what state you live in or how your neighborhood is setup. however my driver is insturcted by ups to deliver high priority items like next day air or next day ground. then work with the other non-priority parcels. if your item isnt high priority he isnt gonna deliver to you hes gonna work with only high priority items even if has to go back and forth from different neighborhoods and subdivisions. If you have like a huge item that isnt high item priority my driver tries to get rid of huge long box wide boxes so he can free up some space in his truck. then he would go back to working with high priority items. every driver is different but ive only driven with 3 drivers they all work different.

ups is okay but i can understand what you mean im no advocate for the company cause ive delt with ups mistakes in the past. so i know how u feel.

just be cool with your delivery driver give him some snacks and im sure he will give you your parcel on time. when u really need it.

Okay I understand where your coming from, the house is within a cul de sac so he passed it coming and leaving. That's a pretty ridiculous setup and its got to suck for the carriers to go back and forth like that. Let me be clear here, I defiantly wasn't trying to imply that I barked at the driver or the support person I spoke on the phone with. I understand the kind of **** people in a type of service role have to go through on a daily basis (I worked at a movie theater), I just mentioned it to dude cause I'm not sure if he just didn't realize my **** was right in front him or if thats just how they operate (you just explained it). Which is still pretty dumb in my opinion but it must be working for UPS to be so successful. If you want to hear anymore horror stories check out the KAWS 4 thread
