Because you trust greatness. To do it once could be a fluke. To do it twice shows consistency. To do it across 3 different franchises shows that you know what you're doing.
Maybe the game is passing Pat by. Or maybe this is another game of chicken Pat's gonna win. I wouldn't bet against Pat, personally.

You’re wilding, but he definitely needs a legit wingman to be able to go crazy. Jordan had Pip, Kobe had Shaq, Bron had Wade and Kyrie, Steph and Klay. If Randle is supposed to be your wingman you ain’t going nowhere.

They might win in the end if they just get him to walk this summer. I don’t even think a Jimmy Butler trade is bringing back much in actual value and they probably don’t want bad contracts anyways.

Waited too long to move off the ticking time bomb of Jimmy's age and injury history. Now the best he can do is stand on his pride and let Jimmy opt in or trade him for pennies on the dollar.
He never had intentions to pay Jimmy which is perfectly fine so you probably should have moved on way earlier, hell even this offseason when he was talking crazy to Jimmy.

Chose not to improve the team by trading for the likes of Damian Dollars and Jrue.
Now their best player doesn’t rock with them due to that and they can’t get his value in return.
Stuck with Herro as the franchise guy

Fair points but not sure I agree. While the perception may be with Jimmy making this public, Pat has to take lesser value to complete the trade, but not sure I buy that. With Pat's reputation, I don't believe teams are under the impression that they're about to get Jimmy for cheap. Pat has the gall to say no. And just watch Jimmy be unhappy. So if a team really wants him, make a real offer.
