The Official Flightposite 2014 Thread Vol. Carbons, H20, Possible Coppers

The PLM from this project from the jump decided not to fix the outsole.

Redoing the mold/getting new steel casts made not to mention changing the current outsole too was just far to expensive for the project.

I think it’s super lame but Nike is about making money and the original change in 2014 was to cut costs with the outsole wrap change…highly doubt we’ll see a fixed medial wrap outsole anytime soon if ever.

And yes I talked to some higher up folks at Nike and this was exactly the reason.
So by Nike math let’s use the last mold from 2019 but slap a $40 up charge from the last price of $200 for the same shoe.

And Nike heads sitting around at WHQ wondering why they stock is tanking and other brands they could have cared less about 10 years ago are now slowly and steadily carving away their market space.

I don't get it. They didn't have the original mold? They retroed them right before. They didn't have those molds?

Too expensive, but you're going to release all these wack *** clogposites

It's hard to argue that the average consumer in 2024 cares enough about it to justify the higher base cost (IF....IF.... they either no longer have the molds or they cost more)

I'm against it to, but.....business is business.

They have no way to quantify the amount of people that "would be in if..." esp if the shoe does well enough without fixing it.

No strays at you though, you obviously spoke to somebody who would know -- seems you agree with me that they just shouldn't have changed in the first place more than not understanding why THEY didn't change it back

never owned a clogposite, would the sole be a 1:1?

I think his point was that they allegedly don't have the money to fix the sole on the FP1, but they have the money produce clogposites that no one was asking for.

BTW, the OG clogposite had the correct sole

Head you my guy, but I can't let you ruin another sneaker for me :lol
You did it on the 3s to the point where I actually care about shape and Elephant Print lmao.
Lemme enjoy these man, they're my first flightposites ever.

My boy was supposed to sell me the Eggplant pair in High school for a steal, and then he sold them to someone else instead :(
