The Combat Jack Show Thread

I'm not sure what Flip is doing. Joe has allowed him to be more mainstream, but he seems like he still wants to dwell in the seedy side of the internet. Meanwhile all these other streamer and skit dudes get mainstream looks.

I don't understand what he's trying to do.

This man that peaked after 1.5 albums, still mad at Ross???

All hugged up with this female that he called KONY, was a clear phony and ate the cheese also?!? :lol :rollin
Buddy still mad that Ross’ catalog is better :lol

So Flip been hitting folks with the WWF sneak attacks :emoji_thinking:

He was extra stupid on yesterdays pod talking about Aubrey. I feel sorry for him. Mutha****a, feel sorry for the people in LA. Irv's family.

The way Ish talks about Aubrey :smh:

and I wish dudes would stop comparing this streaming **** to physical sales. 50 sold diamond. When you had to get your *** out of bed and go to the store. You can't even compare him to Em.

I didn't like so much GNX upon first watch, but liked it better the second time

Man at the Garden especially threw me off

I'm really excited to see how Joe walks this one back.

Funny how accurate that was. Listening to it, it would have been like Usher performing a bunch of songs from his new project last year instead of his greatest hits, so I sort of understand Joe's reaction.

It didn't step on it to me, because of how it was done with the skits.

I guess it makes sense with him doing a stadium tour and promoting that.

What rapper not named Busta, Hammer or DMX would have given a better stage performance?
I think other than Tyler the Creator, Kendrick is the best live performer and PG Lang has the best art/creative direction of any rap artist.

But let's be honest...that performance was not up to his usual standard.

It was 13 minutes

and I think how much you enjoyed it would be based around how much you like GNX. I thought he should have ended with NLU personally.

1) Set was good, performance was good

2) EVERYYYYYYYYYYYY noteworthy performance, whether Super Bowl, American music awards, Grammys, etc… artists are going to perform their most noteworthy songs or recent hits

Whyyyyyyyyyyyy, all of the sudden, Kendrick has to perform his obscure songs? People are neverrrrrr satisfied dawg :lol

And dot was always in my top 3 of this era with wale and j Cole. I’ve neverrrrr liked “humble”, but I understand.

That’s like Mike not performing black or white in 1991, or Janet not performing control in 1987. :lol

Rihanna was pregant and suspended in the air a few years ago…. Ahghhhhh people thought it was all that… but dots set was bad?
