The Alpha concept (AJ1) for the Nike Dunk, would it be a cool idea??

They shouldn't retro these colorways in any form at all that would be stupid and it would be a step back for the Dunk not a step forward . I believe the Hyperdunk counts as a remake. If they did do an official updated version of the Dunk they should redo the college colorways because that is what made the shoe popular in the first place not some co.jp dunks with a fat tongue.

I would like to see this happen. Keep the classic Dunk silhouette and optimize it with some Air/Zoom Air technology. A Dunk BB of sorts. A rebirth with the OG BTTYS colorways like what Wally mentioned would be a big deal in my eyes especially in time for March Madness. Just keep the fruity colorways out of it.

Simply add heel and forefoot Air (or full length air like they put in Air Edge Trainer) and a dynamic fit inner booty to lock the foot down better and call it a day.

Don't touch the silhouette of the Dunk at all, just put tech INSIDE the shoe.

Dunks are GASPING for some nike air. They would have to make the midsole bulker though right? 

 full length zoom air would be insane....Dunk SB colorways...ehh...not so much. It's been done..collabs are iconic for a good reason...Just keep it classic.

I agree. With technlogy these days you could take that same rubber midsole and throw a non visible full length air bag in their or even zoom.

Taking a JB/NIKE approach here, I decided to take the jordan alpha midsole and just throw it on some DUNK HIGHs

why isn't that done? Who knows.. Expand the color pallette and include some other NIKE schools. It could be something EPIC. instead, only a dream.

I play ball with my 2003 Michigan dunk hi's.  I removed the insole and replaced it with a full length zoom air insole from my flighposite 3's.  Cushioning is good, but the upper feels flimsy compared to current generation of nike bball shoes. 

So to actually execute the concept, I think the overall silhouette would def have to be changed similar to how a AJ1 alpha doesn't retain that "old school" shape of the original AJ1.

would it work if they kept the upper leather but added tech to the inside of the shoe? like flywire or something similar to add some strength and stability to it
