How it went down.
I got to class a little early (~ 30 minutes before class started). I was sitting at some benches near the entrance. TA walks by, I'm assuming she's going to sit in the empty seat near me. Nope.
She continues walking and sits way at the other end. This is when I posted "Nice blow to my self esteem."
I was like you know, forget it. She maybe didn't see me (it would be hard not to notice me since I was sitting directly in front of the stairs, but oh well).
Go on to class.
Class ends, I walk up to her and ask her if we're still meeting after class. She tells me to wait for a few minutes while she says bye to the professor (last day of class).
We're walking upstairs looking for a place to sit. We end up finding two empty chairs. This whole time we're talking about something off topic. She starts telling me how she's really busy and has no time for anything else. This comes off as weird since the other times I had chatted with her, she took her time.
We sit down, I ask her some BS questions about the assignment. She gives me her advice. She starts writing on my paper. At this point, I'm about to say, "Just put your phone number on there," but resist. I'm still thinking I'll give her my number once our conversation ends.
Before I'm even done with my questions, she starts packing her stuff up to leave. So I do the same. I walk her over and say "You've been a lot of help, let me get you some coffee" (or something along those lines). She makes some excuse about having to go home or being in a rush.
I'm like okay. I rip of piece of paper I have in my backpack and start writing my number on it. She notices and says, "I really have to go bye." I say, "Let me finish real quick." At this point she's like ten feet away and she just says bye.
So I'm standing there like an idiot holding a piece a paper.
She was acting a lot different than the other times I had spoken to her. I'm not sure if she had a sudden change of heart or what.
Feels batman.

Lesson I was trying to tell young Rare is that there are older more mature wolves out there who've refined their game and will push it into overdrive when they realize they might lose their prey. Smh at spending time worrying about how he looked.

I'm not going to lie. I'm pretty bummed.
Not bummed at the rejection, but bummed as to how it went down.
The "I should have..." thoughts are killing me.
Confidence was high all day, then it was gradually knocked down to where we are now.

I think a good confident building exercise is just making small talk with strangers. mainly girls at stores. don't have to shoot shots at them, just say something jokingly.
Everytime i go to Wal-mart or the grocery store, I usually say the same thing all the time, just to get the girls talking.
"Damn that's the price, you got this for me...........Never gets cheaper does it"
never fails for a smile, and you can just pay and go about your business. just a confident builder to actually talk.
so next time you're presented with an opportunity for something you actually want, you have that confidence
