Hey folks.

I'll be getting married in the next few weeks, and my bride-to-be has graciously allowed me to wear sneakers (Rather than dress shoes) for the reception. The only stipulation is that they must have the primary color of green (white/green, beige/green, grey, green, ect.) We're getting married in Jamaica, sowe want the reception back in town to be somewhat casual, too. I'll be wearing a suit, but with sneakers.

I've tried searching around and haven't really come up with much (Aside from the blue/green skylines @ purchaze, but I'm not spending $215 to getthem)

So...suggestions ? I wear pretty much everything.... ZXs, dunks, jordans, New Balances,Gel Lytes, AF1S.....

I would really appreciate some suggestions... (Somewhat attainable would be a stipulation, too.)

If you wear 8.5, it shows as available on sneakerhead for $55, otherwise, should be easy to get elsewhere for pretty cheap.

Sneakers and a suit is not a good look. I love sneakers too but there's a point. Besides after your married for a year you will realize that there'smore important things to argue about then sneakers. Go invest in some nice dress shoes and make your wife happy.

Thats not a good look my friend. Go with some proper shoes. By all means change to some sneakers later on. You will look back in years to come and think whythe hell did i wear those sneakers at my wedding.

If you really are set on wearing sneakers, wear something black with a little green. Those dunk lows up there are not too bad. Avoid white based shoes at allcosts. It will look like you have just come from the gym and forgotten to swap your shoes over.

Your lady might say it is ok for you to wear sneakers, but you should know that deep down she wants you to look as smart as possible on your wedding day.

i'm in the same boat as you...i'm wearing eggplant foamposites to my reception

but i would say air max 95 neon

wearing sneakers for a wedding is just plain ridiculous. Go and by some nice Budapester or something like this.
Style is also to know the appropriate occasion to wear certain things. But the above mentioned occasion (a wedding) is a absolutely NO-GO.

But in the end it is all up to you, so go for it.

Truth.

This ain't a high school prom where kids think they're 'fresh' or 'original' by wearing Js or Forces with their tux.

It's your wedding day.

You know damn well that your wife-to-be doesn't want you wearing sneakers.

It looks ridiculous.

You can't man up and wear dress shoes for an entire day?

that's what I'm saying, wedding is one thing, reception is completely different.

at least that's what I always thought and saw from people there(granted I haven't been to many weddings, and I'm only 20 so naturally I'mleaning more toward the shoe switch)
all I'm saying is it's the reception, you should relax and enjoy what just happened, it's not a button up full tux affair at the reception, let theman wear his shoes, it's ok

I will be looking smart for my wedding day, which is about 3 weeks PRIOR to the reception.

Good looking on the thorough read, though.
