What's up NT? I haven't been a member for long, but I've been browsing the forums for years now. Anyway, I'm at a crossroads of life. Basically, I'm just looking for any type of feedback whatsoever. I'm 20, and I'm from Worcester, MA right outside of Boston. I've been in the Marines for 2 years now , and up until now, everything's been pretty dope. I've been deployed for like 6 months now and I've been doing a LOT of thinking. The people I work with are straight out ignorant. It's getting to the point where I hate coming to work, maybe it's just because we're deployed and that I have no way of "getting away from everything" I.E. 14 hours a day, 7 days a week 6- 6 1/2 months straight, no drinking (obv) and pretty much no free time.
I've been doing online courses going towards a bachelor's degree in Business Management. I really, really, love music, and I've messed around with making songs in highschool and looking back that +!*! was so much fun. I'm pretty good at basketball, I don't know how I would have done in college since I joined the military right out of high-school. I don't want to go through life thinking "what-if"..
Also, I am addicted to buying clothes and shoes.

I was thinking of taking the money I make now, getting out at the end of my contract, and using the G.I. Bill benefits to go back to college in Boston, Go to a D3 or D2 school and play some ball, and either at the same time, or towards the end of my schooling (Would be a 2nd degree) Open up my own Thrift/Boutique store. I would get BAH (allowance paid by the VA/Government and for boston it is roughly 1600 a month for being a fulltime student). I can get some studio equipment and put it in my store, record music, contstantly Downloading mixtapes from DATPIFF/LIVEMIXTAPES, collabing with friends and whoever I meet from college/whoever else I can find. Eventually, if I profit enough, throw a barber's chair in there, and eventually a half court-basketball court. @%** a FLIGHTCLUB price, I would have a huge inventory at retail-decent prices. That'd be the kicker. Plus dope clothing that I would sell for a good price, in the middle of Boston, a huge foottraffic mecca.
I've done the research on what I have to do as far as business licenses and certificates/fees, and there ain't nothin to it but to do it.

I know I have the drive, know-how, and creativity to be successfull, I just don't know if I want to leave the Marine Corps. We put up with so much BS on the day-to-day, and make decent pay, although we do have really good benefits. If I got out I know I would miss it, but I don't know if I would be happy if I stayed in.

CLIFFS:
I would be 22 If I got out of the military
I'm stationed in SOCAL, and would probably go back to Boston
Working on my degree right now,
Want to go back to college and have the college experience
Creative and driven, I KNOW I would make it.
"CIF GEAR", (combo of my last name, military gear issue crossover would be the name of my shop)
Would Ya'll support it?

What do you guys think??

I'm not military (LE though) it seems that it needs to be something you're all in on. Nothing wrong with having other aspirations. As far as working with "idiots" goes, that will happen anywhere. Props for being from Worcester, lived there 15 years and want to go back.

if it makes you miserable get out an go for what you really wanna do

you said you got the drive already.....

save up money so you can have some breathing room and go for it....your experience serving will hold you down with employment if you can't find what your looking for right away.

Stack paper, use your G.I. Bill and stay focused on your goal. Your shop idea seems all over the place, so focus on a theme.

Nothing wrong with moving on. Just do it the right way.
