I'm trying to take apart an AF1 to study how it's put together to make some customs (I want to put the Green Spark sole of the current dark green AF1Supreme on the upper of a burgundy AF1 Supreme that was released last year, please don't think I'm trying to pull off anything crazy like Lu). TheAF1's sole is held on both my stitching and by glue.

First, I'm wondering what sort of solvent I should use to cleanly take off the glue without damaging the upper.

Second, I'm wondering what kind of glue I should use when I swap the soles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well.....you do this and I'll be excited to see. I've never seen anyone switch it straight up they usually just remove the sole and create a new upper.I think it could be done though.

You'll obviously have to remove the stitching which I assume you've done. But after that I think any solvent strong enough would ruin the upper of shoeif it came in contact. What I've heard people do is use a woodburning pen/pyrography pen which heats up the glue and slowly separate the sole and uppers.
