Sole swap on og jordan 4s

I got a og pair of cement 4s that I'm sole swapping cuz it's crumbling. I'm using 2013 cement flights for the swap because they're cheaper and they have nike air on the sole instead of the jump man. The only problem is that the sole is white instead of black. How do I paint it, because, I can't use midsole paint, can I?
