I wasnt gonna post these casue theyre definitely not my best work, but what the hell.....somethin you dont see everyday.
I was asked to customize some of Nike's new snowboard boots to be displayed down at Winter X-Games. I thought they were gonna send me the all white orblack/white version, so I had a theme already laid out. When they got to me, they'd sent the dark army/gold colorway.
great.
It was tough cause I usually come up with an idea, then pic the base shoe I wanna use after that, this was the other way around. On top of it all, I had amean time schedule to get them finished.....but who dosent love a challenge right?

the tongue is supposed to look like his helmet. The red part of it is supposed to serve as a lace protector. not sure thats something they even really needin snowboarding, but I wanted to do somethin I'd never done before. I think the next time I do one, it'll come out better than this one did. I alsodid this because I didnt wanna put all that work into a tongue and then have it covered up by the laces lol
the crest is on the right shoe because he has it on the right side of his chest armor
that logo is found on his left shoulder pad...I also tried to incoporate the bars on his helmet into the strap of the boots
the bobble head dosent really have it, but in actual pics of his uniform, Boba has alot of scarring on his armor....I was gonna include that, but didnt havethe time so I left it off. Truth be told, these coulda been alot better, and I actually hated them when i finished them, but with the short time table and onthe fly theme, Im not that mad...considering this was my 1st time even working on this kind of base.
