Hey guys I'm new here and I have recently started to restore shoes any tips on *** to get a clean smooth paint job I have good brushes

Thin coats, practice and patience buddy! Practicing on some old kicks you have is the best way! Angelus products are the best don't use anything else

Thank you I also just revived some shoes In a trade and didn't realize that they had chips in them

Make sure the strip job is done well. That is half the battle to getting a great midsole repaint. good brushes make a huge difference. thin coats and do 4-6 layers.

Proper prep is key as well as applying multiple thin  coats of paint, rather than one or two thick coats.

Allow ample dry time between each coat and you should be good!
