This is my first post, I'm doing a project for my graphic design class (senior studio) and I'm going to be customizing a pair of my AJ IV's, andI wanted to know what is the best pain to use for the midsole on these? One person I talked to told me acrylic with some type of clear coat to keep it in tact, but I'm still not exactly sure. Anybody have any input/suggestions?? Thanks a lot.

Angelus is generally recomended for leather, after proper preparation.

if the shoe isnt going to be worn, then I'd figure any good quality acrylic will do the trick.
if you plan on wearing them, good luck...not sure theres a paint out there for the average person that works on rubber. Every attempt I know of has ended up incracking and chipping. I've heard about Angelus working on foam midsoles, but I havent actualy seen it

Ok thanks... I'm not using it on rubber though (not the outsole), but the midsole... Since I'm using the Mars AJ IV's as my "canvas"right now, that would be the black parts. Those are the only parts of the shoe I'm going to paint, not the leather.
