Hey everyone, I've been a shoe collector and longtime reader of NikeTalk, and I'm now trying to get some of my clothes, designs, and ideas out there. The first ones I have coming out are python snakeskin shoelaces. They are each hand crafted made with 100% pure python snakeskin, and each pair is a one-of-one. I feel like they go really well with a lot of shoes as I have them on Jordan Is and XIs in these pics. I'm just looking for your opinions and thoughts. Thanks for looking, and support if you like them!

i think its a great idea and im sure if you don't get it going soon someone else will. however i think $150 is far too high. i kno the price of a hide shouldn't be that much and might becheaper if you use shorter hides and say stitch 2 together.

Thanks for the replies everyone, and I know $100 seems like a steep price, but the actual cost of the snakeskin plus the costs of shipping and importing fees essentially justifies the cost. Also, real python snakeskin nowadays sells for pretty high. For example, the Don C snapback hats with the snakeskin bill go for, in my opinion, a ridiculous price of $550, and the amount of snakeskin is similar between one bill of a hat and two long shoelaces. Lastly, considering they are shoelaces, and while it may be a pain, they could easily be switched from shoe to shoe making them a one time buy. Anyways, thanks for the opinions, and support if you like the product!

not to shoot your idea down, i like it. some question will come into mind about the quality ... will it rip during the switching process? is it fragile?

maybe resort to a different material???
Agreed. Probably your most realistic option. People just simply won't want to spend that much on shoe laces.

I like the idea and it looks pretty sweet. I would love some gold colored ones but IMO no more then $25 for shoe laces

thanks for the question, but snakeskin is generally tough in general, and during production, the last step of the process involves an extra tough, yet thin, glaze-type layer being placed on top of the laces, making them strong in build and non-fragile

seems a little odd to me dont really see it being a big market for people.  I like the idea of adding style and personality to laces.  Needs variety.

Looks awesome, but cut down that price. I wouldn't pay anything over $20 for laces.

this sounds like a cool idea, python laces.
