Even though Sony's value-packed PS3 is already a great deal at $299. It doesn't hurt to save even more money. We've found a deal where you can score a PS3 Slim for $199.

Sony offers a Sony branded VISA credit card through SonyStyle.com. Right now, Sony is giving a $100 credit on your first qualifying purchase using your new Sony card. For your purchase to qualify, the item needs to be at least $299 (fortunately, the same price as the PS3 Slim).

All you have to do is, sign up for the Sony credit card offer through SonyStyle.com. If instantly approved, you can order your PS3 slim right then and there from SonyStyle. If you are approved but not instantly, you'll have to wait for your card to arrive in the mail. But once you have the card in your hand, you will be able to head over to any local retailer and pick up your PS3 there.

You will receive a $100 credit on your first credit card statement, resulting in the PS3 slim only being $199. From there you have two options, pay off the $199 and cancel the card, or keep the card and you got yourself a Sony branded credit card to show off to your fellow PS3 owners.

^^ exactly. ive been meaning to buy a ps3 for the longest. unlike other times i went the older than the new, not gonna happen this time around.

besides those extra days of overtime a few weeks ago is helping out.

just buy the ps3. pay it off within the next couple of days. wait till that $100 kicks in. just use those $100 anywhere.

That's a great deal. I would do it, but I don't wanna hurt my credit score anymore than I already have.

Dumb purchases on my first and only card taught me a VERY valuable lesson. I need to save for things, cuz I'll max out the card in less than 3 daysguaranteed.

Hmmm....might pull the trigger on this, but I see the 80GB fat is $299 as well, I'd just rather pick that one.

damn thats tempting, considering my brother took over the PS3 and left me with the 360.

If you're gonna keep the card open it would make sense I guess, but having a card you might not ever use again doesnt really help.

hmmm i could flip my 40gig and a couple games for $200+ easy. It be an even swap in that case.
