I was just thinking how Pelle was dropping the ball not following up on this Avirex rebrand

Fasholly. I’ll actually argue that Pelle Pelle made overall higher quality leathers than Avirex. Pelle Pelle made butter soft leathers... I never came across an Avirex that was truly butter soft. The butter soft Pelle’s I owned were just as soft as leathers I own made by Ralph Lauren Purple label. The early 90’s Pelles often said “Made of European leather” below the Marc Buchanan tag.
Plus, Pelle’s retailed for over a thousand even back in the early 90’s. Adjusted for inflation, some of the crazier early 90’s Pelle’s would have sold for $3k in today’s dollars. Avirex leathers retailed for about $450-600 back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.
I will say this, Avirex eclipsed Pelle because Avirex made better designs from the mid 90’s through the early 2000’s. Once the Indian heads took over, it was a wrap. Pelle Pelle designs became too gaudy. Especially in the 2000’s when they OD’d on the all over stitching style than Al Wissam is also known for. I wore those styles because I was an Avirex head in the 90’s/early 2000’s and never gave up my leather game despite me not being from NY, Chicago or the D. The best Pelle’s were from the Martin/Fresh Prince early 90’s era in my opinion. The Picasso, the OG soda clubs etc.

So many ugly jackets
u not lying lmaoThe irony of having Nas in your avi when he didn’t think so...
I think it’s good y’all think classic urban style is wack. Everything ain’t for everybody. Please tell that to everyone with a pulse who only wears Essentials hoodies, overhyped Dunk lows in basic colors, Jordan 1’s and Yeezys. The style game dead because Braden and Gunther from suburban Northern Virginia who get their haircut at Supercuts decide what’s hot nowadays.

this thread is like nh's tombstone, and everyday I visit his grave to figure out if he faked his death...
