True. He looks alot more energetic today and almost got a 1 on 1 vs the goalkeeper.

 Altidore is certainly good enough to play alone up to. We're not even in the game today if anyone else is out there at that position. Tactically I'm really not sure what kind of formation you expect on the road against an elite side. 
He was good today and very good against Slovenia in November. The truth is, he's no less consistent than any of our attacking options, including Clint Dempsey. 

Our team as a whole has consistency issues. I'll never understand why Altidore gets singled out the way he does by some.

Great win today, surprised at how well our defense played today!
Demps goal was

  Nice win.  Never like how we turtle when we get up by any margin over any other team but some guys looked good out there today.
Howard - A.  Always solid

Cherundelo - B-.  Didn't flash as much as he usually does, but played good, well-positioned D.

Boca - C. I'm biased, don't like him, always getting beaten over the top.

Goodson - B.  Well positioned, usually in the right spot, especially on crosses.

Fabian - B+.  Looked good at LB, made great pushes forward, and it was his cross to Altidore.

Brek - C+. Still looks shaky on the ball.  Did have one almost 1v1.

Bradley - A. Monster game.

Edu - C+.  Didn't do much, had a couple decent breakups.

D. Williams - B+. I like his confidence on the ball, not afraid to hold it. Plus he's a very solid defender at the RW position

Demps - A. Baller

Jozy - B. He's been playing much better the last few games, holding the ball well, letting his team come to him and using his physicality.  Great vision on the pass back to Deuce.

michael bradley played the best game i have ever seen him play. i seriously don't think dude misplayed a single pass out there. his first touch and his anticipation looked fantastic too. serie a has done him wonders!

I'm not surprised to see Bradley play so well. Him and Edu have always partnered well together, he's been improving everyday in a top league, and he's in the club form of his life.


U-23s will be on Telefutura taking on Mexico at 7pm PT tonight. Great chance to see some of the young guys like Gyau, Corona, Agudelo, Mix, Adu, should be fun to watch.
