Official Prey 2 and Predator 6 Movie Threads. Vol. Yes, Two movies OTW!

I really want this to be good but while that Predator Killer armor was fugly in the last awful movie, I thought that would be interesting to explore in the next installment. But I guess Pocahontas collab it is:rolleyes

Na. Last film was garbage. They know. That’s why they skipped it. Going back to their origins, keeping it simple and hunting people.

This takes place in 1719

The gun that was given to Danny glover in predator 2 was from 1715
Wonder if that shows up

EXACTLY what I posted back in November. That gun will have some meaning in this movie. Some sort of retcon. I'm really looking forward to it now that the trailer came out. Looks really good AND it's rated R.

That's the thing. They've NEVER veered away from that concept in the 6 or so movies and this is the 7th movie with that formula.

Humans going to the Pred homeworld would've at least been a fresh idea. Instead, we're gonna another re-hash of a Pred hunting folks from treetops.

ngl movie look kinda stereotypical racist. that lady was good in legion though and i'll def watch this one.

They just need to do a Predator Invasion film.

Earths militaries vs a Predator invasion.

But nooooooooo they wanna pick on Topher Grace, Sanaa Lathan, Danny Glover, Olivia Munn and a lil girl :lol

That's why Wolf Predator is the goat even if that movie was whack. Dude was puttin' in work killing everybody. Aliens, humans, that Predalien hybrid:lol

So, there's a Comanche dub of the movie. Would have been interesting to see it start with Comanche dialogue (with English subtitles, if need be). The first movie established the predator as picking up on the language of his foe. They could have done a slick transition to English once the predator picked up on it.

It was originally supposed to be Jean Claude Van Damme

But it was actually this guy

Moral of the story.... never go with your first draft.

That costume looks like ****

Thankfully they took the time to revisit that.

Large part of what makes OG Predator movie great is how badass the creature looks.

In the OG Predator, Dutch was able to win using some primitive traps.
This is why they keep coming back. A predator home world movie would be dope so we could learn more about them but that could also kill the mystic of them. We know they like to hunt and humans and xenomorphs are their favorite prey.

Agreed. No way they randomly chose 1719 just by chance. Especially since they showed Settlers in the trailer.

*hot take* Pocahontas gives this gun to the Elder Predator from P2 at the end:lol

this takes place in 1719?

and shes part of a naitive american tribe?

so why is she speaking like she just graduated from a north hollywood film school in the year 2022?

Apparently she's a member of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe

The Predator vs sticks and stones

Predator better wipe their whole tribe off the face of the Earph on some English colonizer type ****
native americans at the time were some of the most ruthless, methodical, and savage killers of all times.

Their entire existence was based on war and the glory of battle. There was no higher honor than dying in battle.

Weapons might have been primitive, but the fighting spirit of the native american is LEGENDARY.

What I get from the concept is that predators share a symbiotic relationship with humans as they respect our fighting, violent nature since the beginning of time.

Each era’s warriors have always faced predators. They love the challenge.

It also plays into native american folklore and legend of “skin walkers”

Granted with a weak budget and bad casting/writing the potential for this to be corny is there…not saying it will be good but the concept is very neat.
