@ Notre Dame being back in by default, they have to be the luckiestteam of all time. I think TCU should be ahead of Boise and maybe even USC unless the Trojans beat Oregon this week, they have some serious speed on theirsquad. Some pretty good matchups on tap for next weekend with #4 USC @ #12 Oregon and #3 Texas @ #13 OK St (they need to let Dez play).

Texas should be #1 based on yesterday's games. However, no team deserves to be #1 after what has been displayed this season. I don't see what Boise hasdone to earn that #5 to be honest. TCU/Cincy/Iowa all have legit cases to be ranked higher than them. Boise is scared to play good teams during the regularseason but %%%$%$* and moans at the end of the year about the BCS.

proud of being 25th now?cmon

although finishing 10-2 with an undeserved big bowl game waiting became a little more realistic yesterday

Its nice to see a stoneface but could you defend your position? That'd be nice instead of an emoticon.

Dammit Canes...

I just had that feeling...they should've just cruised through the remainder of their schedule...but after that UCF game I knew some %%+* would go down

this guy postin ND pics and a "

" because theyre ranked 25th

with that schedule, you should be ashamed.

How was Texas more impressive this week? cus they played a Bum Missouri team?

C'mon Son.
So far, Alabama's body of work craps ALL over Texas. and everyone elses.

If you lose to UTEP, you're DQ'd from the top 25. sorry Houston fans.

LSU will beat Alabama.

the Big XII just might be worse than the Big East

I was real disappointed in the Canes this weekend. I had them pegged for the W. How do u kick it to Spiller before the Half? HOW!?
then man him up vs LBs in pass defense. *face palm*

Since I'm a fellow Gator fan, I will. Based on just yesterday, Texas could be considered the best team in the country, but that wasn't the1st game of the season. Yesterday was Bama's 1st game where they looked vulnerable, UF's was last week, this was Texas' first breakout game onoffense the entire season against a half-way decent opponent. Looking at the total body of work over the 3 teams this season, I don't see how you could putthe Horns over the Tide or Gators. Best opponents beaten to date: Bama- #14 ranked VT and #22 Ole Miss, UF- #9 LSU, UT- #23 OU (who has 3 losses). Like I saidlast night, if UT looks impressive over OKST then come talk to me.

The keypoint that I said was based off of YESTERDAY'S games Texas should be #1. How did you miss that? I never said that they should be theoutright #1.

the Big XII just might be worse than the Big East
Based off of this season I'd say that. The Big East is improving with the exception of Louisville although many here would disagree becausethey don't watch Big East football. The Big XII is just awful.

why? because they played some Bum squad? Missouri is TRASH.
Been trash. they dont do anything on the football field well

Well based off yesterday's game then Texas still shouldn't be #1, if were looking at that TCU does

by quality of opponent beaten.

Big East is definitely better than the Big XII this year: Cincy, Pitt, WVU vs. Texas and...............

Who cares if Missouri is trash? Based off of how the voting has been this season in regards to blowouts and dominant performances why wouldn'tthey be #1 this week?

then you've been missing, the voting has been based off opponents.

UF dropped because they shoulda have lost to that Arkansas team, the same Ark team that Alabama DESTROYED.

Its based off of opponents then:

How does this schedule equate to #5?

9/03 No. 16 Oregon 1-0 (0-0) W 19-8

9/12 Miami (OH) 2-0 (0-0) W 48-0

9/18 @ Fresno State 3-0 (1-0) W 51-34

9/26 @ Bowling Green 4-0 (1-0) W 49-14

10/03 UC Davis 5-0 (1-0) W 34-16

10/14 @ Tulsa 6-0 (1-0) W 28-21

10/24 @ Hawaii

How does this equate to #1 with the exception of LSU

9/05 Charleston Southern 1-0 (0-0) W 62-3

9/12 Troy 2-0 (0-0) W 56-6

9/19 Tennessee 3-0 (1-0) W 23-13

9/26 @ Kentucky 4-0 (2-0) W 41-7

10/10 @ No. 4 LSU 5-0 (3-0) W 13-3

10/17 Arkansas 6-0 (4-0) W 23-20

10/24 @ Mississippi State 7-0 (5-0) W 29-19

henz0 you said nothing.

for the record, that Florida win over Miss State was a good W.

they played a team who knew everythign they were gonna do based on the coach.
just this past yr, same situation, USC lost to its former coach...

When Cam Newton gets to Mississippi State, Its ON! mullens gonna have the Black Tebow
sick.gif

what? u were just talking about teams leaping other teams to #1, now you're talking about Boise State ...

you're confusing yourself

Lazy B...honestly is this schedule any better?

DATE OPPONENT W-L (CONF) RESULT
9/05 Louisiana-Monroe 1-0 (0-0) W 59-20
9/12 @ Wyoming 2-0 (0-0) W 41-10
9/19 Texas Tech 3-0 (1-0) W 34-24
9/26 UTEP 4-0 (1-0) W 64-7
10/10 Colorado 5-0 (2-0) W 38-14
10/17 vs. No. 20 Oklahoma 6-0 (3-0) W 16-13
10/24 @ Missouri 7-0 (4-0) W 41-7

And if you look, GUNNA is exactly right...just take yesterday for instance. Bama beat Tenn by 2 (a game they very easily could have lost if UT's kickerwasn't a female) the same Tenn team that UF beat by 10 and look what happened, Bama dropped from #1 to #2. UF and Bama are playing a lot of commonopponents so it's easier to look at while Texas has played one decent team in OU who has 3 losses

The Big XII is down but it is NOT worse than the Big East... Not a chance in hell...
Big East is definitely better than the Big XII this year: Cincy, Pitt, WVU vs. Texas and...............
Pitt better than Oklahoma State? WVU better than Oklahoma? No $*@%$#% way...
