You have some nice equipment bruh. I'm convinced I need some outside equipment instead of just a mouse now, everything I really like produced from people is usually made with outside equipment. Once that bassline gets cracking on that sample too.
IDK about anyone else but the bassline brings songs together a lot for me.
the thing with equipment is that you never know how it will work with the rest of your setup unless you bring it home,
i mean i know about what i need but even i goof up, im now going to send the prophet back..
it just doesnt sound natural and fit in with my other things, im going to exchange it for a nice mixer since i dont have one and im always unplugging ish.
something i'd recommend for samples is something like an sp 404 or 303 just to get started.
then move up to an mpc, stay away from 2000's and the xls the screens go bad.
the 60 and 3000 are worshipped but are just too old and most need floppies and zip drives,
the 1000's are good but the first models, the blue and red ones have sensors that go bad, which is not a big deal, its a cheap replacement.
theres also the asr 10 which also needs disks and the stock memory is 2mb..
just remember when you got this route you have to take cables into consideration and the fact that they take up space.
an expensive turntable isnt necessary for a minute i just used a cheapo ion i got for 60 bux.
its just best to keep it simple, the best stuff i make is just with my records and the mpc.
