Drones have to register with the FAA and larger drones require trackers I believe. There is no way they don’t know who’s these are.
My primary guesses are either Amazon delivery drone testing or contractor testing for the government. The odd part is police and other small drone operators said they turn off their lights is anything gets too close; and I heard rumor that at least two small drone operators tried to fly near it and it powered down their drones and dropped them from the sky. That makes me think government.
Either way, they don’t intend on telling us. Kirby the other day telling us we are imagining it. F out of here with that.
Near my place there is a company that develops drones (don’t remember their name) for government contracts. In the past, I’ve been up at night and seen them test some descent sized drones doing some pretty wild maneuvers in the air at a pretty good rate of speed. They can’t hide em, they make a lot of noise.
Which reminds me, like 5-6 years ago there was a quad drone in the middle of the day hovering over the local Costco and the 101. It was pretty high up but based on it size to how high it was I’m guessing it was anywhere from 6-10 feet in diameter. And you could still hear that thing from the ground. That’s how I spotted it. It was hanging out for a good 10-20 min and then when it left, it booked it at a Very high rate of speed. It was just gone. I have a picture and video of it somewhere on my pc.
