I understand all the models that they have done with the sb line. Dunk, Blazer, Bruin, Delta Force, Air Trainer 2.

I was looking at my Air Max's

And the question that popped in my mind was
would the air max shoes make a a good skateboarding if it was made right?

which air max? im thinking no because theyre running shoes and mostly dont have flat soles

dont give them ideas.....

Not probable, if you are talking about AM's with air bubbles. They are extremely hard to burst, but still possible, and I feel skateboarding is a sportthat will more than likely burst that bubble.

Will I know it will be impossible with the airmax 95.

The shoes that will probably come in mind that i think will be a good skateboarding shoe will be the Airmax 1 and Airmax 90

The Zoom Veloce SB was partially inspired by AM 1s - see this interview with designerJames Arizumi. That being said, I doubt we'll ever see Air Max SBs.

yeah since Nike SB is in the business of butchering classic sneakers.....

Maybe...if made right and if they recreate a different shoe then use one of the 1s, 90s, 95s, or 97s silhouette.

Air Max 1s or BWs could probably be used, but not others not so much because the sole isnt flat on the bottom, but because it's really textured in thesides.

Honestly, I've skated for years in skate brands, but found that Jordan 4s skate better than most lakais or D.Cs. I never understood why the so called"flat sole" is so important. All I needed when I skated was good ankle support and shock absorption.

those shoes can't handle the lateral force. You would see air pockets being ripped from underneath the midsole

Not likely. The tread would have to be stripped down and the sole would have to lie flat. there would also need to be more ankle support or you would see moreinjuries in that shoe than a pair of air carnivore's.

No, not if you're talking about keeping the design intact and just swapping out for "skate" materials. The tall midsole, heel/ball offset, luggyoutsole, and visible airbag windows would all contribute to terrible, clumsy boardfeel. Basically what everyone else said.

That's not to say you can't skate in whatever you want, or whatever you prefer. Brian Anderson's good enough that he can skate in Air Max--butthen again, he's good enough that he could probably skate wearing a paper bag on each foot, too. It's all about what helps you either A) skate yourbest, and/or B) feel like you're looking your best... just decide what's more important to you, and roll with it.

Dadbath is on point about James Arizumi... although the only Air Max cues in the Veloce wouldhave been in the upper. The midsole/outsole (taken from the Tre AD) is super low-profile, no visible Air... nothing like the Air Max at all.
