At the factory stores, however, the training shoes will be slashed to $100 and $80. An $80 Nike+ Sport Kit, necessary to access the shoe's features, will be sold separately.
Also, with the NBA season about to begin and holidays approaching, Remuzzi said, the company chose to focus its efforts on selling Nike+ Basketball products and the LeBron X+.
"We are now amplifying all experiences and services around Nike+ Basketball," Remuzzi said in a written statement. "We are refining how consumers access Nike+ Basketball and creating elevated experiences at Nike retail and with our key partners. Sales of the Lebron X+, which allow users to experience Nike+ Basketball, have been strong to date."
Sales are strong because nike was smart to make the +model to have the limited colors over non plus. Because you know damn well ain't no one want to pay the extra cash to get the plus tech.
