Nike Kobe 9 Protro

The new tech in the Protro 9s is a step down from the OGs.
After getting the Bron 23s. It started to lineup for me. 23s feel more like Og Kobe /
8/9 lunarlon but beefed up for a LeBron in terms of cushion. So I think the react insoles was a move to not have 2 shoes occupying the same territory

Love these

Love the outsole.

Didn’t get the Michael Jackson influence (besides him wearing a purple shirt in the video).

I still have a pair of the OGs so I might return the retro if they’re not comfortable. I only wear them casually.

It is weird they released the Halo in low and high top.

Should’ve probably done the same for the Masterpiece and WT.

Not to say a Kobe can’t be a high top but most prefer the low top versions.

The lows were the only version I recognized, never had any interest in the highs. And I preferred the Elite lows look-wise, never fully got into the EMs the same.

With that said I agree the highs are THE silhouette for the 9. I would've released most colors as lows (Christmas, Masterpiece, any they plan to bring back), and left a small limited run as a high (talking 5-10k pairs max as a SNKRS only release or something just to say they came back).

I'm really happy they're taking this direction with at least 1 OG

You like hooping in em?

I wonder if the lebron 23 drop in insoles would comfortably fit.
Yea, this is probably the 3rd or 4th time I’ve hooped in them. Feels only slightly more comfortable than the 8s to me, but could just be in my head. Traction is excellent.

I was also wondering the same thing about the LeBron drop ins. Don’t have a pair to swap them out tho.

Bots just took out Sneaker Room stock. They were 121 before shipping.

Sigh.
