Today, January 20th, 2009, black history was made by this being the official date of President Barack Obama's inauguration. Therefore, it was only fitting that, today, we received an exclusive never-before-seen photo of the Nike Air Force 1 "2009 Black History Month".
Paying tribute to Black History Month, this special Air Force 1 contains a predominately black leather upper with red contrast stitching throughout the sneaker. It also contains a red inner lining and green on the top of the tongue. Other features include laser printing, a clear outsole and a black midsole with green stitching. To add to the theme, this sneaker will be packaged in a black bag with an motivational quote printed below the 100 Year logo.

If you really like these, do not fall in love too much. This sneaker will not be released to the public, therefore, it will only be given to a select few of individuals who are active in the community and pushing the support of the Black History. Via SneakerNews/SlamxHype. Congratulations to President Barack Obama.

Interesting, how will Nike determined who gets these and how many pairs will there be?

These are coo, they didn't over do things with these AF1's like others.

and once again I can't get a pair, I think these are the 2nd best pair after the original Black History Month AF1's(white/red swoosh outline lows)

would be nice to have, I wonder why they don't at least do a limited online type of thing or something.

NIKE really needs to cut that "Not released to the public" nonsense. I want these but know I will NEVER get a pair.

of course they wouldn't drop these I mean who would really by these?

dropping the ball yet again cuz this would be the perfect time to drop them Iwoulda liked it alittle more wit a green translucent outsole

they look alright.nike is just playing stupid not releasing these to the public.i guess the economy is hitting them too.

They need a better way of determining who gets them. I remember when Bill Cosby received a pair of last year's version.

Now, THAT is how you do a Black History Month AF1. From what I've seen, these are the only worthwhile ones made.

now those are some nice kicks....but the release is unfair...they are not going to get it to th people they say deserve it... i see them on ebay for about 800
