Negotiating Pay Rate? (New Job)

I just landed a new job and on my resume/app I said I would work for a certain amount, but I know the job is worth more than my original asking rate of pay. My question is am I able to ask for a certain amount of money, its not an outrageous amount and it a little higher than my og rate of pay. How do I go about asking for the new amount???

Some real life experiences would be very helpful.

ps. I put the og rate of pay just to test the waters.

Was the rate ever discussed? If not, it should have been or should be and you can simply name your price there. If it's a professional job, then I would think pay rate would have been brought up at your interview.

Yeah it should be coming up on the last interview thursday. I was just making sure its ok to up the rate of pay when it is disscussed. I didnt wanna sound greedy, but it is a must I get all i can get.
