My version of the "space jam" lows

Painted the mesh with a mixture of

Gac 900 and angelus black leather paint with a drop of duller. Heat set it after each layer of paint. Then water proofed it.

Insoles were done by 2win but it's easy my printer was was jammed. I'm not sure of his method but mine is using inkjet canvas then using fabric glue to attach the canvas to the insoles. I waterproof the side I'm gluing to the insole so the moisture in the glue doesn't make the image run.

How did you mix the gac and paint? I found it was too watery and just soaked right through at 1:1. Almost 0 coverage.

Yeah it's very liquidy at that ratio but that's my preferred ratio. On mesh I go heavy first coat so it gets kind of soaked then it hit with the heat gun lightly and set for 24hrs just so I know that first layers set. Doing it like that just seems better to me then doing a bunch of light coats. It's almost as if when you do light coats it only penetrates so deep then your just packing up layers making it chip or crack vs going heavy and the paint actually becoming one with the mesh if that makes sense.

Yeah I feel ya. It just soaks right in. You get any visible coverage when you set it the first time around?
