Since there should be new Olympic jerseys this year, I did my own little rendition. My focus was to simplify and create a throwback look while adding elementsof the present. I know most people hate S.O.D. uniforms, but since its the future of jersey design for Nike I used it as my starting point. I also went in theway of a new color scheme because USA should be headed in a new direction. Out with the Red/White/Blue in with the Gold/Blue. Supremacy is the new motto forTEAM USA! (I made that up)

P.S. if any Nike insiders know any info on the 08 jerseys please shed some light. Stuff like this fascinate me.

But there is absolutely NO WAY, NO HOW, and NO WHY for having the MAIN colors of the jersey be blue/gold/white (or white/gold/? for our home jerseys).

On the one you have pictured, I think if you just change everything that's gold to red, that'd be awesome. And for the home, make it white, with...hmmm... nevermind, becuase I'm not liking the sound of red/blue numbers.

Good idea, I love the initiative as well as the use of SOD. However, the red, white and blue MUST stay. Maybe work the gold into the mix as an accent and thatwould be feasible.

Gold was for the new direction hinting that USA is grabbing GOLD no matter what. But I understand your point SKA. SO I will make the first version the one theywould wear in the Gold Medal game.

In case you're not familiar with soccer, the first jersey is of the Italian national team, whose flag is red, white and green. The second is ofHolland's team, whose flag is red white and blue. I understand it's a different sport, but it nonetheless provides evidence that there is precedent forthe OPs suggestion in the international sports arena.

its aight, maybe a lil too simple, but the supremacy on the shorts would be extremely controversial. USA is already considered arrogant and hated by numerouscountries, i think advertising our arrogance on our uniforms wouldn't be very sportsmen like. PersiaFly, i am familiar with soccer, played all my life andhave played over seas and i understand what you're saying, although i agree with everyone, anything other than red, white and blue wouldn't be right.Although considering the controversy over the olympics now (being made obvious in France now) who knows if we'll even enter cuz (not that i'm saying weshould not participate, i dont know what my opinion is yet) but some people say (mainly humanitarians) that we should back out completely, so who knows! Butenough politics, haha like i said, lil too simple, needs more pieces of flare (yes thats an office space reference) because a plain solid color jerseywouldn't really sell and Nike or whoever is making the jersey's is DEF going to keep the marketability of the jersey in mind and i'd get rid of thesupremacy.

Gold and SUPREMACY are rather elitist..I mean I know we have a good basketball team but the word supremacy SCREAMS 1936 Berlin olympics..look it up if youdon't know what I'm talking about. Let's let the way our team plays get us the gold, not our uniforms.

That said, Michael Johnson's track spikes when he wore the gold shoe were rather cocky, but then again he was the fastest man in the world by far. Wedon't actually know that our team is the best in the world, seeing as we couldn't win gold last time around. Now I'm just rambling so I'll stopthis...

Also, shorts that cover half of the calf muscle are so beyond ridiculous.
