Back in 2009 Kevin Durant sent out this tweet
"Headed to majors in Georgetown on wisconsin ave...come holla at me"
He also posted on facebook
"i'm going around d.c. giving out shirts, t-shirts, shoes, and posters. follow me (http://twitter.com/Kevindurant35) and Nike Basketball (http://twitter.com/nikebasketball) on twitter to find out where i'm headed next."
and this album of photos https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.126168961654.106270.81781281654&type=1
My brother and I took him up on that offer and when we arrived the store was empty with the exception of Kevin Durant, one or two of his friends and a Nike film crew taping for nikebasketball.com. Durant was picking out a whole bunch of hats and shirts he wanted from the store while talking with the store's employees. He was being very generous on this day as he went to the park he rused to play at in georgetown and gave other sneakers and gear to all the kids playing ball.
We spoke with Kevin telling him we saw his tweet and we happy to meet him. He asked us what size shoe we were and then sent his friend outside to his truck to get us some pairs from a truck filled with shoes. My brother and I each got a different pair. I got the Hyperize size 10 and my brother got the KD1 size 11.5. We then asked him to sign the shoes, in which he did and the box. To this day these two pairs are still unworn and have only been taken out for these pictures. (in the dropbox link)

If you remember when they were first released in August 2009 (Same time I received this pair)and were brought to attention on blogs following this music video/commercial featuring the shoe's figureheads, Kevin Durant, Rashard Lewis, Andre Iguodala, and Mo Williams
.
The colorway I was given appears to be an Oklahoma City Thunder PE for Durant. I have looked online and never found another example in this color. They very well may be 1 of 1. The tag inside the shoe reads Promo Sample 20090525. The orange is a really nice shiny metallic pearl.
Thanks for reading,
