Hi all,

I purchased these BRED 4’s and there are a lot of indicators I am not sure of. Please provide a legit check. I can upload more pics upon request.

Also note: Note sure why the netting on the left shoe near the toe box is lifting up. Are they not supposed to be glued down to the fabric? Or they supposed to seperate?

Your pair is good. Yeah the netting is not supposed to be glued down. The separation is normal.

JRepp23, Thank you very much for the swift reply. I attached some additional photos for clarification. Is there any reason for the following:

1. Crummy finish around the air bubble.

2. You usually advise on the "Glossy" part behind or around the Flight Patch. I attached a photo, is this what you mean. the edges of the patch?

3. Any reason why the insole stitchings look like this, no marking of a size 10.0 insole used. The stitching looks sloppy. What's with the bottom of the insole having these red marks, and the "AJ11" and markings soo light hard to make out if you don't in front of you.

4. The Insole did not have a "10.0" little square tag on the insole.

5. The Insole "Nike Air" marking looks very much so like a matte finish not a glossy finish.

6. Is having loose netting a factory flaw on some pairs?

I appreciate all you and the other forum members help. If this was back in the early 2000’s, i could easily spot fakes. Back then the fake market was soo bad at their productions.

I only have one pair that I bought on release day but have probably looked at a thousand as many others as well. I completely understand your concerns now a days compared to years ago. Your right, it was a lot easier back then.
As far as the finish around the air bubble. That just massed produced shoe flaws. Some may look better than others.
The NIKE AIR is supposed to have the matte finish on the insole. At least mine do.
The glossy edging on your pair is correct. Really dont know or have seen a fake pair with it. Simply going off what my pair and others have.
I dont inspect the underneath of the insoles simply because I dont want to. So cant help you much there.
The things I look at are simple, the misaligned Nike Air on the back. The height of the heel piece on the back. The width of the swoosh. The non alien head Jumpman on the tongue.
Netting really should not be attached to the shoe like some of the older retro 4s. The older versions are thinner, incorrect direction as well. Your are slanting towards the toe which is a good thing.
Advise to you, while I COMPLETELY understand the concern especially today, try not to look at a mass produced Air Jordan shoe too hard. It will drive you nuts. Believe me. lol. Your pair is good to go. Im sure I left stuff out here but hope this helps a little.

Thank you for the insight. As long as it passes your metrics on analysis of Swoosh, misaligned Nike Air, height of heel piece, im ok. Overall looking at it it looks really good and sturdy like a nike pair should be. Since I have been out of the game for a while and passed on these during release, I ask for help. I have seen these fakes have gotten sooooooo good that its remarkable. Why are we even paying for retail pairs from Nike. (Just Kidding).

Advice definitely noted on not driving myself nuts.

Thank you,

P.S. What is the non Alien head jumpman on the tongue? Your feedback is very valued in the community.

So I 100% agree with everything JRepp said. He’s also been a member here a lot longer than I have and has been in the sneaker game a hell of a lot longer than I. So while 2 sets of eyes are better than one, you can fully trust his opinions and experience with Jordan shoe authentication. Anyway as I said I agree with his points and would also say these are genuine. Unfortunately a mass produced shoe will have its mistakes and flaws especially if they use multiple factories so some pairs will look cleaner than others. I doubled up on these and purchased both pairs from authorized retail locations so I know mine are authentic. I pulled one of my pairs to look at the insoles and footbed area and they look exactly like yours.

Thank you very much Greg. JRepp is really patient and great at providing this service to the community. I value your feedback as well. Based on those pics, looks like our pairs are from the same time frame and same factory. In your footbed you can see the number "10.0" as opposed to mine, which looks like a messy canvas. Even though this has been laid to rest, you just added the sprinkles.

You’re welcome and glad to hear it man. Enjoy those 4’s !

can anyone help me legit check these? Looking to buy and seller got his pair after release. Just don’t want to buy a phony pair.
