When you collect the ball (With 2 hands) - You are not allowed to dribble anymore(Obviously). You have what's called a pivot foot. Now, you can still take 1 step and jump. Correct?

Yet, this guy constantly does a side-step or a step-back and lands with his feet at DIFFERENT TIMES. That's 2 steps. Isn't that a travel?

It’s funny how many times the NBA has to explain their gather rule, but some guy that plays pick up at the Y says they call it a travel i their games.
plus harden isn’t the only one that does this, he’s just the best at it so people get in all crazy about it.

He definitely travels. He travels to his local gentleman's club to continue his humanitarian work. I am very proud of Jim Harden and salute him for his work in the community.
you truly are the treasure of NT. never change :rollin

He disengages his hands from the ball, so many people are prematurely calculating his gather and miscounting his steps.

I don't have a horse in the race but he has simply mastered the rule.

Most fans simply don't know the rules and aren't able to see his technique during game speed.

Also, most fans don't WANT to accept he doesn't travel.

If you go through @devinTheLab. On Twitter's video archive, you will see his breakdowns.

The Harden Puzzle: How Houston Rockets Star James Harden Confounds NBA Defenses: 12/10/19
James Harden's basketball strengths are varied and, for a defense trying to guard him, frustrating. Now, teams are trying something different against the Houston Rockets' versatile star. ESPN senior writer Zach Lowe joins Mina Kimes to measure Harden's impact on the league this season and to discuss effective ways to stop him.

I find James Harden to be annoying at this point,

but it's essentially card counting basketball. He has an edge within the rules and he is mercilessly exploiting it.

i can't be mad at him for being extremely good at baiting people into fouls, and his extreme mastery of the traveling rules.
