It just hit me that Christmas is a week away

Growing up ftl. I remember the years when I'd mark off the days on the calender until Dec. 25th. Ever since I hit 13 and my shoes started to run my family$150 a pair, Christmas hasn't been the same for me.

I don't even have anything on my wish list.

Back to the topic at hand though, totally agree. I mean, I used to decorate my room damn near Halloween, but I haven't even pulled anything out yet withlights or nothing, and its less than a week.

My parents will be back on the 27th, after christmas.

. They left me money for a plane ticket to go and spend christmas with my cousins but I rather not.Funny part is I bought a christmas tree yesterday but I don't have a stand, so I said F it and threw it in the basement.

Its worse when you dont have anything u want for christmas. My brother asked me what i wanted for Christmas yesterday and my mind drew a blank. This was thefirst time this has ever happened to me

Oh yeah, I totally agree. I mean, this is the first year though that A) I dont know what I want, 2) Im brought down with women issues.

It's not just Christmas. Birthday, Halloween and other celebrations throughout the year feel a lot less special as you get older simply because of the factthat you have so many things going on with your life which keeps your mind occupied. Not like when we were younger and had plenty of free time to countdown tothese special days.
