I love how you're trying to talk up you and your girl like you're so high and mighty. So she laughs at people who drive gaudy cars, but all she's doing is judging and assuming about someone she doesn't know. How is that any better than driving a car to impress others? 

And since you say they don't care about your car but your career, let's hope you never lose your job or have trouble there.
