Help me ID my first pair of Nikes

No pics. But you sneakerheads gonna get it, I know you will. I bought my first pair of Nikes in 93. They were black, mid basketball Nikes. Force written on thetongue, and I'm 100% they were not AIR. I think they had some purple accents on them, white swoosh. Pretty basic. My parents wouldn't buy me Jordansso...I had to "settle" with those. Any help? I would really appreciate it...plus the pic if possible

I'm going to guess either Air Sonic Flights or Flight Lites.

sonic flights are here, but just black and white, no purple:

and then the flight lite mids were all black with purple/magenta accents I think, but no white swoosh if iremember correctly... edit: I foudn the pic I was looking for, posted on NT a while back:

Was the Force on the tongue in a semi-circle/oval shape?


According to the book Sole Provider, for the 1993 line Nike released one shoe with "Force" but no "Air" in the name.

That shoe is the Driving Force,



Could that be it?

Thanks folks for the effort, but I'm 100% that shoe was "airless"

No bubble, no Nike Air on the back


It had that distinctive Force logo on the tongue

and it was in purple too...

I think the best way to describe it - it was a plain generic Nike basketball shoe of its time.
