If you were near a mall this morning, did you take a look at exactly who is in line for shoes?
Has being a "shoe head" turned into what collecting sports cards was in the 90s?  In that, everyone is jumping aboard for collecting value?

Ps- cards aren't worth crap now because they were so overproduced SMH (some of my faves as a kid)

Collecting sportscards is my main hobby. It's very expensive compared to the 90's. Here are my two favorites from my collection.

MJ/Kobe/Lebron Triple Autograph #12/25

1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle RC

lol guy just derailed the thread but didnt at the sametime

yo how much that kobe, mj, lebron card??

cards are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them...

I got some heat in my basement too... MJ rookie, Kobe topps chrome, etc...

No because sneakers are easily identified from the MASSIVE AMOUNTS of fakes and are usable in the day to day. If anything I just see this continuing due to culture.

I'm sure the line is for the Galaxy Foams. Lines have already started when the shoes come out NEXT WEEK...

cards are built strictly on intrinsic value.... at da end of da day you can still rock a pair of kicks.

I'm currently negotiating the sale of this card for $2000. It's the only one in the world. It's the most expensive card I've ever owned, but the time has come for me to purchase my first home, so stuff like this has to go.

Takes me back to my Tuff Stuff days. Good @@*# man.

The Mantle is nice. Even at a 1.5.
The Kobe/Bron/MJ is nice too, but there are hundreds of the same trio out there. I used to be big into sports cards. But once they started slapping low serial numbers on everything, it got old.

Still got a bunch of cards I used to buy as a kid under my bed

Two different items though... Even if both lose value, you can still rock sneakers.

I had a nice card collection; I sold it off in 2002 and pretty much used it to buy my RSX

look up that word homie, intrinsic means actual value, so it would be VERY low since were talking about the actual card stock/ink etc. to produce the card Even if MJ signs a card its intrinsic value doesn't change.

Hype has taken over everything now. People are lining up for GALAXY FOAMS of all shoes. Theyre hideous. I only want 2 pairs of sneakers this year and I know that I wont be able to get my hands on them for a good price because of the enourmous hype.

Those are some sick cards
