In the world of serious issues( genocide, rape, murder rates, poverty) I have decided to fight against the N word.

Decided 2 yrs to stop saying it and Ive only has a few slip ups.

Alvin poussaint "The N word is oppressive"

Got inspired by the black face thread

The other day I saw the whiteest of white girls answer her phone and go...

"What's upp my *********?"

:lol people will never stop using it.

Saw this in the other thread and I thought of the N word

With the way you're defending him you probably don't. It's not about being sensitive. There is no reason to wear blackface. The history of the act is enough reason not to.

Crazy story, shows Im on NT too much

Like 2 back an Hispanic co worker said " my N piss me off when he eats my food"

When she said that I thought of you because in previous threads you get mad when people dont day anything to the person.

I didnt say jack, I always get called goodie two shoes because I dont curse blahhh blahh so I wasnt tryna deal with that.

Its not my job to educate a grown women.

Now when the kids around me use that word, I have a thesis prepared for them

Yeah....that word isn't going away. It's too deeply rooted in black culture, sewn into people's vocabulary like just another word. I don't preach anymore about it, if folks want to use it ...eh you do you.

What makes me cringe though, is when I hear black people refer to white people as "my N" or "what's up ___". That's gotta stop.

I'm not white though.

But out of respect for those offended by it, you right.
I should be more aware of others feelings.

As a black person who doesn't say it, I find it both comical and sad at how much whites and white-washed people go to the ends of the earth fighting for their right to say it. "Bu bu bu but, they say it in songs" "I I I I d d don't mean it in that way", and my favorite, "you shouldn't let simple words hurt you". Well losers, how bout not letting color determine whether you wanna **** somebody over or not.

You don't find it comical when blacks say it?

I say it. My mom and family always say it. Hear it in music I listen to on the daily. Its not that big of a deal and will never escape our vocabulary
