The "FAQU" Sk8-HI's are another rendition of my simplified version of the Vans Sk8-HI, again the traditional 3 row heel stitching along with the toe box stitching and perforations were abandoned to create a simple and sophisticated feel.
The uppers constructed mostly of raw canvas feature double layered swooshes, embossed black snake skin overlaying a dirty grey denim. The rear heel panel shares the same dirty grey denim and the edges were left un-wrapped to fray over time, creating a more rugged appeal. In addition, the panel displays an acronym for FALSEQUEST used to draw attention via word play. The pair are finished off with pewter eyelets.
Also, its been really busy over the last few months and plan on it staying that way. So, as I haven't been able to post as much completed work as I'd like and there's too much that goes on I couldn't possibly spend time blogging about, I've just set up a Twitter for anyone interested in following FALSEQUEST. It will be updated with a lot of behind the scenes work and the everyday ++$! that goes on, so be sure to check it out.
There are a lot of projects in the works, so make sure to keep up with the blog or follow on Twitter.
Anyway, enjoy.
Thanks for looking.
