Ecco Biom Running Shoes $220

I'm curious whether anyone on NT owns a pair of these shoes. Steep price at $220 - wonder how they perform.

Good read. However, I still don't understand what constitutes the 220.00 price tag (Probably a marketing strategy). I like the whole minimalist thing, but they should understand that most people are not competitive runners so they should focus on branding and design. You definitely need street cred, but when your competing with company's like Asics, Nike, New Balance, or even Mizuno you definitely need a good brand identity and step out of the box with maybe a lifestyle line. Otherwise, I don't know how they are going to survive, but thats just my thoughts on them. I might have to go give these a try....

I agree. The competitive running demographic is already saturated with established models that generally max out at $130-150. I am definitely curious about this shoe, which features yak leather upper.

I'm secretly hoping this shoe will end up at Ross, as the Asics Kinsei did (people were probably turned away from the $180 price tag), so I can try out a pair.
