Hey guys - I am doing an Asics GL V custom and was wondering how people typically dyed mesh and nylon.  I have only dyed suede before.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

People normally paint mesh. Using dye on mesh won't be very permanent and will bleed off very easily.

Mixing angelus paint with 2-thin to prevent the paint from clumping seems to be the best way for most hard mesh materials. Always multiple thin coats!

Appreciate that.  Would this be same technique you'd use to paint Asics lettering on the tongue too?

Yes, you can use the same method on the lettering (but it may leave it feeling somewhat hard). Mixing the paint with GAC-900 should help keep it nice and soft. totally up to you!
