I have no problem with people who choose not to eat pork. Especially if the reason is the killing of an animal. I've seen a pig get killed and its not a pretty sight.
But. Let's say I eat pork (and I do).
I'm a pretty healthy individual otherwise. I don't smoke...not an alcoholic...excercise regularly...and I'm in pretty good shape. Let's say I live the same amount of years as someone who does not eat pork.
What exactly do i lose here?
Because pigs are scavengers. They will eats anything and everything, including other dead diseased pigs... The real problem lies in the fact that pigs do not breakdown toxins. They eat something toxic or rotten and that is stored within them. They have a simple digestive track and it doesn't allow the break down or release of impurity. They are what they eat. Their skin is similar to ours, but they don't have sweat glands that also secrete waste and toxins as well. Contrast that with a cow: it has a complex digestive system that breaks down any toxicity found in what they consume.Whats wrong with pork minus religious reasons?
I respect your beliefs BTW.
And respect veggy and fish diets.
I just don't understand people who swear off pork but eat beef and chicken.
