In Finland we don't tip in a restaurant but I think I've tipped in other European countries.

When I go to an other country I find out if people tip and do like they do.

True, it depends on the country. But in general, tips in Europe are insignificant because the waiters actually get paid a decent amount.

Nah, they dont even allow u to tip dealers in casinos in London. People are paid more for service jobs over there, so tip isnt really necessary

other places dont tip... its put into the bill for you; they might asummed they did

where do you work? i work in times square so i get a plethora of tourists.... they arent really familiar with it because in their countries their servers getpaid more.....but they are getting used to it....... they've been tipping pretty well lately

Nah homes, I leave a tip and twice now they've chased me down and handed me the money like I forgot it. Strange.

A lot of countries do tip. I know in Japan, its considered an INSULT when you tip.

reason being, servers/waiters in Japan gets around 35+ yen per hour.

Also when I was in London, I went to a cafe left 3 euros or pounds as a tip (what ever kind of money they have there) and waiter gave my money back and gave methe

Anyways, I don't really get tipping.. especially the mandatory 15-20% tipping rule that I must obey lol.. the whole concept sounds stupid to me.. stupidemployers, just pay your damn people more! tipping should be optional and based on actual customer service..
