Voters in the Mile High City have decriminalized “magic mushrooms” by the slimmest of margins, making Denver the country’s first city to de-prioritize enforcement of the hallucinogen.

“WE WON!!!!” announced Decriminalize Denver after city elections officials released final preliminary results late Wednesday. The measure, 301, passed with 50.56% in favor to 49.44% opposed, a slim margin that is nevertheless outside the mandatory recount margin.

Supporters gathered more than 9,000 signatures to place the question before voters. Once the results are officially certified later this month, Denver police will be formally ordered to make enforcement of drug laws against mushroom users their lowest priority.

Tried it once, wild experience. Don't know how someone could do it on a regular basis though.

Also I’ve done them probably about 10 times in my life. I had a bad trip once but all the other times were amazing.

Big breakthrough. Very happy about this and I don't even live close.

The medicinal purposes alone are worth decriminalization and further research.
What are some medicinal uses? For like schizophrenics, depression and all the like?

Was with a few of my homies at my one boys crib. We decide to try it. I had no idea the high lasts like 9hrs. It was about 10pm when we did it, I'm thinking a few hours and I'll be good, not an entire work shift and some OT.

So we eat it. We in the apartment chilling listening to music, watching videos on the PlayStation. Took I'd say about half an hour maybe a little longer to start feeling anything, I thought it was some BS up until that point. It was kind of like you're drunk at first.

We go outside for a bit, there's a fire truck in front the apartment. I never seen a red that vivid in my life. It was so bright, colors were so intense. There was a weird shaped rock, the more I was looking at it I thought it was a dog laying down. I remember colors being very bright and vivid, not being able to keep my attention on one thought or idea because my mind was racing. I had a million and one thoughts and ideas at a time.

We tried playing FIFA but the grass was cut in a circular pattern, I kept tripping out. I couldn't figure out which way I was supposed to go. I'd dribble the ball to the left then be like oh **** wrong way. Then go right and do the same thing.

I remember looking at myself and dying laughing at how dilated my pupils were. Looked like an anime character.

Definitely an enlightening experience as I had so many thoughts running through my mind. Colors were very intense, very bright. The moon really stood out to me that night. Would I ever do it again? Doubt it.

A 9 hour high? Couldn't do it

Depression, PTSD, anxiety in the terminally ill, addiction. Also there's anecdotal evidence that they help with cluster headaches.

I microdose pretty often and do large doses every so often. Microdosing is where it's at for me. Small doses don't give you the long drawn out altered states that large doses do.

You do it for a specific reason or just recreationally?

My first few times were recreational, then I noticed the effects and began microdosing after researching heavily. I only do bigger doses for introspection and to help guide me when I'm having a hard time coming to a solution on certain problems.

The amount I generally use is for therapeutic purposes. I can honestly say psychedelics saved my life. They helped me fight depression and they destroyed my anxiety.
