custom xx3 chasis???? Veterans only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont really cruise by the art forum much but im defintely on the hunt as of late.....


im super fiendin for ray allen green on white jordan xx3's. only prob is i doubt even house of hoops will get em. SO. i plan on buying the red on whitexx3s on may 31st. i want to then paint the red midsole metallic green and the red stitch above that green....the stitching i can handle. but that TPU chasis?I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!


its not leather so what paint will hold best on that type of material??!?!! ALSO, i know by painting over it, the chasis will lose that shine since itll havea dried coat of paint over it. what can i use to make it shine but still be painted????

I think it's impossible, the closest thing you can achieve by this is your xx3s looking like fakes...


Here's a suggestion, why not custom make your own chassis instead of painting them?

a possibility may be to remove the chasis from the shoes and paint over the red with perhaps a sparlky green to give it a glistening effect. from what i remember the chasis itself is clear its whats under it that is painted.

supposedly its painted from the inside so you would have to tear the entire shoe down the use a pain stripper to remove the red (if possible) then repaint andreassemble. So in short its not worth it. You might be able to go to an auto body shop and talk to them. Items like snowboards the flex are painted with anepoxy paint that keeps the paint from cracking. then snowboards are clear coated to give it a shine. Assuming a body shop could do light coats it might be donethat way but there is no promise the paint will adhere to midsole, but its an option albeit and expensive one.
