Just got a pair of Obsidian/Lightnings, but i'm slightly concerned about how they're going to hold up.

What signs should i look for that could give me some idea if they're still wearable?

Heel bubbles aren't cloudy, but they feel maybe just a little bit soft.

One of the forefoot bubbles is a little bit cloudy.

Midsoles still feel fairly soft, overall it looks like they had light to moderate wear, but it could be a while
since they were worn, and i guess its possible the midsoles may still fall apart.

Thanks for any advice.

if you bought em to wear...might as well try em out, but dont get your hopes up.

if they're DS they'll crack 99.9% for sure. If theyve been worn throughout the years you have a better chance of em holding up, but it's still arisk.

air bubbles are cloudy from sitting all this time...You can just get a damp cloth or old tshirt and wipe it off so the air bubble will be clear again..You mayhave to do this each time you wear them if they begin to cloud back up. I would just wear them around the house or if keep an extra pair of shoes in the carincase you wear them right out the house. You should be fine though...

Thanks for the advice. I figured it would be difficult to know for sure, but doesn't hurt to ask.

I got another question: These and my 04 neons are the same size on the label..... but these seem like they're maybe half a size small for me.

When did Nike make the 95 fit a little bigger?

I bought some obsidian tailwind 4's from around 01-02, non DS and the midsole has been slightly crumbling after each wear. Slightly cloudy in the forefootbubbles, clear in the back. Hope that helps.

well 00 and 04 is a decent gap in yrs and could be when Nike started making their shoes different far as how they manufacture them possibly. Also it could justdepend on your foot or your mind is just playing tricks on you. I would wear the 04 neons a couple times to break them in and go from there. Far as I know Ithought 95s pretty much stayed true to size but I only own one pair and those are the neons that came out in 08.

The fit of the AM95 really seems to vary. I have a pair from 2000 that is a size 11 yet my feet almost feel like they are swimming in it.

All I can say is to break the shoes in gradually. Start walking on soft surfaces first for a little bit each day and keep adding the amount of time you wearthem.
